In a Nutshell:
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional to lead our demand and supply planning activities and support the continued development of our operational capabilities. In this role, you will take ownership of the full Demand Plan, using historical data, statistical forecasting, sales collaboration, promotion planning and product lifecycle management to ensure accurate and reliable forecasts. You will also manage the Supply Plan, working closely with suppliers to balance service levels with inventory targets, while providing clear S&OP analysis that links operational plans to the wider business strategy.
A key part of the role will involve developing and maintaining planning policies, processes, KPIs and data accuracy standards, as well as driving greater system integration across the function. You will oversee operational purchasing, manage supplier and forwarder relationships, maintain the Purchase Order book and ensure alignment between demand and supply through effective use of business systems and product analytics.
As a senior member of the team, you will support the Supply Chain Director in enhancing processes, tools and team capability, lead and develop the Supply team, and contribute to wider business objectives including sales performance, operational efficiency, safety and cost control. You will also provide analytical insight and guidance to the leadership team to support strategic planning and key business projects.

Key Responsibilities:
KPI’s
- Focus the team on key KPI’s to provide balance between service and inventory levels.
- For all KPI’s, drive improvement activity to continuously close gaps and address recurring issues.
- Maintain service level above agreed target level.
- Maintain inventory level below agreed target.
- Minimise Excess and Obsolete stock.
- Maintain cost control through relevant KPI’s.
Planning Management
- Maintain effective communication and information flow between suppliers, forwarder, operations and sales.
- Manage the delivery of New Product Introduction and Modifications from suppliers.
- Ensure the accuracy of the information flow through the used IT Systems.
- Drive towards best-practice through the development of People, Processes and Systems, including internal system development and potential system integration with key partners.
Supplier Management
- Drive supplier delivery performance and other key deliverables.
- Maintain effective two-way communication with suppliers, both on transactional matters and in performance reviews.
- Work closely with the Commercial team to continuously improve suppliers in aspects of supply chain performance.
- Build supplier relationships to ensure their commitment to deliver materials in line with the business’s requirements for quality, timeliness and cost.
Team Management
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with people at all levels, both internal and external.
- Support and develop staff to maximise their performance.
- Coordinate effective absence cover for the team.
- Create and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety Regulations.
Business Support
- Contribute with analysis and process development for the global Supply Chain and business strategies.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Director.

Essential
- Good level of general and further education.
- Minimum of 5 years Supply Chain management experience at a senior level.
- Experience of working within a large, multi-site, international organisation.
- Used to working in an environment of high production volumes and complex products.
- Able to demonstrate personal success in the achievement of continuous improvement through KPI’s.
- Experienced in the management of staff and cross-functional teams.
- Competent in the application of planning methodologies and use of MRP systems.
- Experience in dealing with external suppliers and working at management levels across the supply chain.
- Able to work on short-term issues combined with making a significant contribution to the development of strategies for the medium- and longer-term success of the business.
- Excellent analytical and statistical skills.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Project management and planning skills. ensuring strategies are developed and followed through to ensure success.
- Strong communicator at all levels of the organisation, both spoken and written.
- Open-minded, determined, diligent, driven and enthusiastic, team worker.
